What have we achieved so far?
Some of our notable environmental improvements in the recent past include:

• Installing arrestment equipment on our bulk chemical storage facility to effectively prevent emissions to atmosphere.
• Installing a carbon absorption system to our degreasing plant to recycle our cleaning agent and minimise air emissions.
• Reducing our water and chemical wastage by investing in computer controlled dyeing facilities.
• Arranging that clean and reusable empty plastic drums, scrap metal and timber materials are collected by recycling agents.

What targets are we currently working on?
Some of our major current objectives and targets include:

• Implementing a waste minimisation and energy efficiency campaign for all employees.
• A commitment to further reduce our chrome effluent loading.
• To reduce our energy usage and generation of wastes.
• Developing computer aided software to help quantify the environmental impacts of new manufacturing processes and products.
• Reducing our paper usage by the introduction of Email and Lotus Notes.
• Improving our environmental reporting and wider environmental communication to our customers and stakeholders.
