Created originally for the American Football Receiver Gloves, Pittards Oiltac leather range offers exceptional performance benefits which makes it ideal for a wealth of sport and service applications.

Enhanced grip
Pittards Oiltac technology has been specially engineered to enhance the grip characteristics of the leather in all conditions of play whether they be wet or dry. The technology incorporates specialised polymers into the leather structure, which promote contact adhesion and in turn significantly improve the ability to grip bat, balls, ropes, rackets, reins, clubs or handles. Unlike other gripping materials, Pittards Oiltac benefits do not wear out quickly. Once incorporated into the leather, the specialised polymer maintains a reservoir which rises to the surface when it is needed to replenish and maintain grip. Furthermore Pittards Oiltac has been designed to limit water uptake into the fibre structure, thus guaranteeing excellent tactile sensitivity under the most adverse conditions. This allows for optimum grip to be applied and maximum control to be exerted game after game.

Pittards lightweight leathers provide extreme flexibility and dexterity for overall comfort despite the addition of tackifying agents.

Perspiration resistance
Pittards Oiltac leather have been specially treated to prevent the absorption of moisture, including sweat, into the glove and thereby protect the fibre structure from the detrimental effect of perspiration. Therefore the leather retains its softness and feel even after repeated use.

Water resistance
Pittards WR100X tannage offers an improved ability to resist moisture generated by rain, humidity or working conditions and greater insulation to protect the hands in all weather conditions.

Pittards Oiltac range is available in both hairsheep and goat leathers, in plain, perforated, textured or suede finishes. The degree of tackiness will vary with each end type, whether it be required for American Football, Racquetball, Mountaineering or Military gloves.
