GRIPSTER represents the ultimate combination of feel and adaptive grip available in a performance leather for sports and other fuctional gloves.
GRIPSTER leathers from Pittards are based on established leather technologies developed for specific sports and functional applications and work in harmony with the other performance characteristics required of Pittards leather. GRIPSTER is available across a range of substances.

Taction
The GRIPSTER process engineers into the leather a sensation of superior grip right out of the packet and, through its complex chemistry, increases that grip as the wearer's hand perspires, allowing the wearer to maintain a secure but flexible grip at all times.

GRIPSTER's secret lies in the microscopic incorporation of a grip enhancing material into the surface of the leather. Invisible to the naked eye and with no detriment to softness, the material enhances the leather's natural grippy touch. As the leather's humidity is increased, as is frequently the case in wear, the surface becomes more amorphous and soft. This increases surface area and surface contact, consequently improving grip.

This is the exact opposite of what happens with a regular leather. The increase in humidity during wear lubricates the leather surface, which can feel slippery to the detriment of the grip.

Furthermore, the GRIPSTER process is substansive to the leather and therefore does not diminish over time. This ensures that the superior grip performance of the leather is sustained through frequent wear, whilst at the same time Pittards long established base performance chemistry continues to keep the glove supremely soft and supple.
